Student Support and Progression
Students from diverse regions of the country are being educated by the Indra Ganesan Institution. The majority of the students are from Tamil Nadu. With a very high pass rate and a very low dropout rate, pupils are exceedingly successful. The chance exists for the students to voice out their opinions (both favourable and unfavorable) about the courses and their teachers.
Admission
For admission to various study programmes, advertising regarding the programmes of study offered in the various Colleges are published in prominent daily at least two months before the start of the academic year. Complete information about the many programmes offered at the Colleges, as well as the benefits of the courses, is available on the Institution's website. The prospectus includes the duration of each programme of study, a copy of the application form, and the principal academic regulations governing programme eligibility.
Academic and Career Counselling
(i) Academic Counselling
Academically challenged students are given extra attention to ensure that they complete their programme of study effectively and with a solid comprehension of the subjects. Fast learners in the class are discovered and instructed to complete extra academic work, such as answering more questions. They are also urged to assist delayed students with their academics.
(ii) Career Counselling
Students are encouraged to participate in a variety of activities that will help them improve their abilities and nurture overall personality development. They are encouraged to apply for and take the NET, CSIR, UGC, GRE, TOEFL, IELTS, and GATE tests in order to improve their chances of pursuing research careers at prestigious universities in India and overseas after completing their programme of study at the Institution. Special counselling is being offered to pupils in order for them to perform better in interviews. Depending on the requirements, training is also offered in the art of creating resumes. Furthermore, students receive instruction to improve their verbal and writing communication skills in interviews, to enable them to communicate with others and participate effectively during group discussions, and for general growth.
Financial Aid
Financial aids are available to the students from Central Government, State Government and from the Indra Ganesan Trust in the form of scholarships and also study loan from nationalized banks. .
Employment / Career Guidance Cell
The Institution has an Employment / Placement and Career Guidance Cell which was started a few years ago. The students who undertake their project work during the final semester of their study in institutions and industries outside the Colleges are mostly absorbed by them upon completion of their programme of study. Therefore, only a small proportion of the students is really interested in participating in the open recruitment process. To facilitate the placement process further, the university has nominated a few faculty members from different Departments as liaison persons to the Employment / Placement Cell.
Alumni Association
The Indra Ganesan Institution has got considerable number of Registered Alumni who are holding coveted positions in organizations at the national and international levels. The association provides counseling and guidelines to socially disadvantaged group of students hailing from rural areas
