A dedicated Research & Development Discussion Board (RDDB) of Indra Ganesan College of Engineering (IGCE's) serves as the driving force behind fostering a culture of innovation, exploration, and academic excellence within an institution. At IGCE, our RDDB is committed to nurturing a conducive environment for cutting-edge research, interdisciplinary collaborations, and technological breakthroughs.
Mission:
The primary mission of the RDDB at IGCEis to facilitate and promote high-quality research endeavours across various engineering disciplines. Our aim is to encourage faculty members, researchers and students to engage in innovative projects, contribute to the advancement of knowledge and address real-world challenges through scientific inquiry and technological innovation.
Objectives:
- Foster a culture of research excellence: The RDDB strives to instil a passion for research among faculty members and students by providing resources, mentorship and opportunities for professional development.
- Promote interdisciplinary collaborations: We recognize the importance of interdisciplinary research in tackling complex problems. Our RDDB actively encourages collaborations between different departments, fostering synergies that lead to novel solutions.
- Facilitate industry-academia partnerships: To bridge the gap between academia and industry, we facilitate collaborative projects, internships, and consultancy services, thereby enabling the transfer of knowledge and technology from the campus to the industry.
- Support for external funding: We assist researchers in identifying and applying for external funding opportunities, including grants from government agencies, industry consortia, and international organizations, to support their research initiatives.
- Dissemination of research outcomes: The RDDBorganizes seminars, conferences, and workshops to disseminate research findings, promote academic discourse, and facilitate knowledge exchange among peers, industry experts, and the wider community.
