The salient highlights of the Chairman are as follows:​

• B.Sc., degree holder, I-Class in Mathematics in 1960s


• Proud teacher of Mathematics in Zamindar Government Aided School in Thuraiyur, near Trichy.


• Started Electrical accessories business in 1972 in Trichy in the name of “Ramesh Electricals” and proved as a successful entrepreneur for the past 50 years.


• As a Philanthropist, and passion in education, started Indra Ganesan Charitable and Educational Trust in the year 2004.


• Indra Ganesan Teacher Training Institute (D.T.Ed) was started in the year 2004.


• Indra Ganesan College of Education (B.Ed) was started in 2004.


• Indra Ganesan College of Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) was started in the year 2008, with a noble vision of providing higher education to the students’ community, especially from rural background.


• 100 students are provided free education through scholarship provided by the Chairman every year from his trust.
