AGILENT RF SYSTEM DESIGN LABORATORY: Radio frequency (RF) engineering is a subset of communication engineering that deals with devices that are designed to operate in the Radio Frequency spectrum. These devices operate within the range of about 3 KHz to 300 GHz. The Radio Frequency lab in the field of Radio Frequency Electronics and wireless communication. The department is committed to develop an AGILENT center of excellence in the field of Radio Frequency Electronics and the lab is developed to facilitate the goal. The facilities in the RF SYSTEM DESIGN LABORATORY include ADS Advanced Design Systems) from Agilent Technologies Inc., Antenna Sat Soft tools, Workstations and measurement tools such as AGILENT Vector Network Analyzer(0-4GHz) and Spectrum Analyzer. The lab concentrates on communication topics such as RF transceiver architectures, signal encoding and modulation techniques, spread spectrum and multiple access techniques, and wireless technology standards. Commonly used communication circuit blocks such as antennas, mixers, oscillators, LNA (low-noise amplifier), PA (power amplifier), and frequency synthesizers, micro strip couplers are developed in the lab. NOVELL LAB (NETWORK LAB): The booming growth and developments in communication technology around the globe necessitates the need for budding communication Engineers to have a thorough understanding of networking concepts and topologies. Network laboratory provides the platform for understanding the basics of networking concepts. This laboratory is equipped with 40 Pentium-4 systems loaded with networking simulator tools like NS2, OPNET and Local Area Network (LAN) trainer kit.
