About IQAC:

   The IQAC has been constituted as per the recommendations of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
   The IQAC ensures the effective implementation of quality initiatives through continuous reviews and periodic meetings.
   The IQAC works towards attaining excellence in all academic and administrative endeavors of the institution.

Objectives:

   To develop a system for consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution.

  Internally to promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement, to follow quality culture and of best practices throughout the institutions.

Vision:

   To ensure quality culture as the prime concern of Indra Ganesan College of Engineering through institutionalizing and internalizing all the initiatives taken with internal and external support.

Mission:

    Quality Enhancement:
      To work towards continuous improvement in the quality of education provided by the institution, to develop and implement the policies and practices that enhance the overall learning experience for students.

   Institutional Accreditation:
      To work towards preparing the institution for accreditation by external bodies and ensuring that the institution meets the required standards and criteria.

   Continuous Monitoring and Evaluation:
      To monitor and evaluate the academic and administrative processes of teaching-learning practices, research activities and administrative functions to identify areas for improvement.

   Feedback and Stakeholder:
      To gather feedback from various stakeholders including students, faculty, alumni and employers.

   Alignment with National and Global Standards:
      To work towards aligning the institution's activities and processes with national and global quality standards in education.

Quality Policy:

   To establish a system of Quality Enhancement, which would on a continuous basis evaluate and enhance the quality of teaching - learning, research and extension activities of the institution, leading to improvements in all processes, enabling the institution to attain excellence.

IQAC in IGCE:

   Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) was formulated in IGCE on July 2019 with the prescribed members to ensure quality education to the students.

   It also ensures continuous development with respect to academics, research and extra-curricular activities coupled with enhancement in academic and physical facilities of the college.

   The primary objective of IQAC is to implement the suggestions discussed and finalized in the meeting to attain the objective of the cell.

   Hence, meetings are conducted once in six months in the college with all the members and the minutes of the meeting and action taken on the previous meeting discussion are made.

Functions of IQAC:

   Development and application of quality benchmarks.

   Setting of parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution.

   Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment for quality education.

   Collection and analysis of feedback from all stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes.

   Dissemination of information on various quality parameters to all stakeholders.

   Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops and seminars.

   Documentation of the various programmes /activities leading to quality improvement.

   Adoption and dissemination of best practices.

   Periodical conduct of Academic and Administrative Audit andits follow-up.

   Preparation and submission of the Annual Quality Assurance Report [AQAR] to NAAC.

   Ensuring timely, efficient and progressive performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks.

   Relevant and quality academic/ research programmes.

   Equitable access to and affordability of academic programmes for various sections of society.

   The credibility of assessment and evaluation process.

   Ensuring the adequacy, maintenance and proper allocation of support structure and services best.

   Sharing of research findings and networking with other institutions in India and abroad.
